Black Cat Productions is owned by Clark J. Knighten. As a native New Orleanian with over 30 years in the local music industry, he brings a wealth of experience and contacts to every project he works on, whether it is music production or special event coordination.

Our three main goals are to:

  • Preserve and promote the various styles of music common to the heritage and culture of New Orleans and the Deep South;
  • Provide opportunities for working musicians and others vital to the music and entertainment industry to gain greater recognition while generating a fair and reasonable income from public and private performances;
  • Provide quality, professionalism, and creativity in assisting our clients to plan, develop, and promote their special events through the use of music, graphics, multimedia presentations, lighting and sound reinforcement.

Special Event Planning

Black Cat Productions has access to and works with over 50 of New Orleans’ most popular individual artists and groups. Our purpose is to custom design and coordinate musical presentations that help make any type of event the special occasion it deserves to be! We also provide sound reinforcement, lighting systems, and audiovisual support for any size event!
